Peripheral Arterial Disease
| PAD is due to atherosclerosis (the buildup of plaque inside the arterial wall) leading to a narrowing of the lumen. It can affect the arteries in the neck, arms, kidneys, intestines and other organs which will not receive enough blood. The legs are however most commonly affected.
